When I started, I did not speak any Spanish at all and was put through a 2 week intensive course to get me up to a basic level. Thereafter, I have taken three 48 hour courses, and can now speak quite fluently. Zoraida has a firm but accessible teaching style which I have found very effective. She uses a variety of teaching techniques and is very good at tailoring the class to the needs of her students. I have been taught using a variety of techniques, from listening and interpreting conversations, to watching documentaries in Spanish, to responding to cue cards to improve my vocabulary or to reinforce a particular aspect of grammar. She has a good grasp of business issues and uses relevant articles from the business world to help improve business comprehension. Also, we'd often start our class talking about the previous weekend and any special events that may have occurred. This helped to give me good practice in conversational Spanish.
